I feel that by sending e-mail to all Pathshala teachers is not sufficient. IF you have time, can you please take up this project?

 

Rajeev Jain from NJ had contacted me in the past; I know he may want to help you. I am sending a copy of this to him and Yogendra Jain. Yogendra is dealing with the long term planning committee and he has team of volunteers to whom he can assign this work.

 

I will request Kamleshbhai from JAINA HQ to work with you on this. He is excellent in following through, but you may have to do some leg work yourself. One such idea which comes to my mind is to buy the list of all ISD (Independent School Districts). We can then send them the letters under JAINA about including Jain Religious days, etc.

 

This may not get us all the schools but it will a great beginning. Once few of the ISD starts then I am sure others will follow. Your attempt in contacting one ISD itself will open up doors for many more ISD around the country.

 

Thanks for taking the initiative and making it happen. We all are proud of your dedication, perseverance and hard work.

You had shown the interest in doing something along this line, such as correcting wrong information about Jainʼs etc in school text book, etc. This project is not exactly the same, but it is along the same line. If you can develop rapport with them then you would be able to go lot farther with them in getting correct information about Jains, etc in school text books, encyclopedia, etc.

Referring to your email.our Scohol District Superintendent has informed that she will incorporate our Jain Holidays/festival in next school academic calendar.

 

I had written to JAINA Teachers appealing to our North American Jain Community to send similar requests to their respective School Districts by sending a copy of my request and JAINA Teachers clicked my email to all twice.

 

Now I wiill send requst to Jain Digest.

 

I will discuss this matter with you tonight or tomorrow as how to implement your suggestion furher.
